The Atelier · Bogotá · Est. 2020
Ágata María is a Colombian atelier born in Bogotá in 2020 — a house built on slowness, on the belief that a garment should carry the hands that made it.
We design in the city and weave in the mountains. Each piece travels through the looms of Nariño, where master artisans tension thread by hand, panel by panel — the way it has been done for generations. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is repeated.

The backstrap loom — telar de guanga — ties the weaver to the cloth. Tension comes from the body, not a machine. It is unhurried, intimate, alive.
Every woven panel that runs across a jacket or a dress is the work of hands that have done this their whole lives. Eighteen hours of craft live in a single piece. That is why no two are ever identical — and why we never restock.
We make in single runs — small editions that close when they sell out. It is the opposite of fast fashion: fewer pieces, made with more care, worn for longer.
To own a piece from Ágata María is to own a moment of a craft that refuses to disappear. When an edition is gone, the loom moves on to the next.

Woven by master artisans in Nariño, Colombia — never by machine alone.
Single editions that never restock. When it’s gone, it’s gone.
Fewer, better pieces — designed to be worn for years, not seasons.
A Colombian craft carried into the modern wardrobe, with pride.
